The teaching position is a part time position for an immediate start, no later than the start of Term 2 if possible, however we can be flexible for the right applicant.

JAPANESE TEACHER – PRIMARY

FIXED TERM CONTRACT TERM 3, 2024

We are currently seeking applications from professional teachers who are passionate about helping young people learn, have the ability to provide an engaging program for students and have experience with teaching Primary Japanese. 

This is a contracted position for Term 3 (8 July to 13 September).  The Japanese lessons are timetabled over 4 days but this can be negotiated during the interview process.

Role Description

 

CATERING /KITCHEN HAND

Casual

The Catering / Kitchen Hand will be a member of the catering team and will assist the team in providing healthy and nutritious food and drink to the Early Learning Centre, College students and staff and for College events and/or functions.

 Primary responsibilities 

  • Basic food preparation of fresh and healthy food options
  • Delivery of prepared food
  • Clean, wash and pack up of used equipment and surfaces
  • Purchasing supplies for food preparation
  • Clean food and preparation areas (dusting of shelves and stock, wiping benches, cleaning equipment and fixtures, floors) in accordance with cleaning procedures set out in the food safety plan
  • Ad-hoc support to the catering and services coordinator

 Applicants must:

  • be able to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos
  • have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement
  • have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain
  • build positive relationships with children and families.
  • can work effectively in a team.
  • have a friendly and energetic demeanour

Bus Drivers

Part-time/Casual

Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.

We are currently seeking suitably qualified, energetic and experienced persons to fulfil multiple Bus Driver positions with the College. These positions would suit applicants looking for a minimum of 4 hours per day (split shifts), Monday to Friday during term time. 

Bus Driving

  • Drive private school bus each morning and afternoon for College students;
  • Complete required safety checks and paperwork each shift;
  • Minimum 2 hour shifts available for morning and afternoon on school days; and 
  • Potential opportunity for extra shifts for school excursions, sports and camps etc.

  • Be a practising Christian who is active in their own church and whole-heartedly subscribe to the Statement of Faith;
  • Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement;

Cleaners

We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and suitably experienced persons, capable of fulfilling multiple cleaning positions with our College. Part-time and casual opportunities available at above award rates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of college buildings;
  • General cleaning duties involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping and dusting of classrooms and furniture;
  • Toilet cleaning involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, wiping and dusting of toilet bowls, basin, mirrors, walls, windows and floors;
  • Maintain all cleaning related equipment and supplies to an acceptable standard;
  • Complete cleaning checklists;
  • Identify and report improvement ideas for efficiency of day to day cleaning tasks;
  • Ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace environment by reporting any health and safety hazards. Comply with College workplace health and safety policy and procedures at all times; and
  • Work cohesively as a team member and as required, assisting team members to ensure all work tasks are completed.

Skills & Abilities                                                                          

  • Ability to work a minimum of two hour shifts in the morning and/or afternoon during the week;
  • Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to perform tasks of the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures;
  • Be a practising Christian who is active in their own church and whole-heartedly subscribe to the Statement of Faith;
  • Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement;
