lIBRARIAN TECHNICIAN

The role

We are currently seeking a professional, dedicated and suitably experienced Librarian Technician who is seeking a rewarding position, to join our College community.

Commencing immediately, this position is 6 days/fortnight and will be responsible for the following:

  • Cataloguing and processing library resources
  • Maintaining databases and the OPAC user interface
  • Training of library staff and volunteers
  • Management of physical and digital textbooks and textbook hire, in particular the Box of Books platform
  • Curation of digital resources
  • Student supervision in the absence of a Teacher/Librarian
  • Technical/Software support
  • Printing & photocopying support
  • General library duties e.g. circulation

 In general, the role supports the Librarian in maintaining a well-organised and accessible library environment, ensuring students and staff have the necessary resources to support their academic and personal growth.

 Applicants must                                                                              

  • Be a practising Christian who is active in their own church and whole-heartedly subscribes to the Statement of Faith;
  • Hold a Certificate III in Library and Information Services and demonstrated experience within a School Library setting;
  • Demonstrated capacity for self-directed work and for taking initiative;
  • Experience with a library management system such as AccessIt will be viewed favourably;
  • Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment;
  • Have a high attention to detail, with an ability to problem solve;
  • Demonstrated capacity for self-directed work and for taking initiative;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Well-organised, accurate, flexible, creative and innovative; and
  • Advanced level of IT skills, including Microsoft programs Word, Excel, email and internet.
  • Hold a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willing to obtain; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.

The role

We have a new opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Manager to join our College Leadership Team, to commence as soon as possible.

The Business Manager is a key leader, and member of the College’s Executive Leadership Team. Working closely with the Principal they help lead the school to achieve their mission and vision within the Core Values of Caloundra Christian College, in an educational sense.

The successful applicant must have :

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, working within a school environment;
  • Tertiary qualification/s in administration (eg. Business/Accountancy) or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with significant experience in both an operational and Christian leadership role;
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting;
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting educational institutions or non-profit organizations;
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities;
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven Christian Leadership experience;
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting educational institutions.
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a ‘Paid’ Working with Children Bluecard;
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate in an Education setting (can be obtained at CalCC);
  • Awareness of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practice & procedure; and
  • Current Driver’s Licence.

Bus Drivers

Part-time/Casual

We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.

We are currently seeking suitably qualified, energetic and experienced persons to fulfil multiple Bus Driver positions with the College. These positions would suit applicants looking for a minimum of 4 hours per day (split shifts), Monday to Friday during term time. 

Bus Driving

  • Drive private school bus each morning and afternoon for College students;
  • Complete required safety checks and paperwork each shift;
  • Minimum 2 hour shifts available for morning and afternoon on school days; and 
  • Potential opportunity for extra shifts for school excursions, sports and camps etc.
  • Paid above award rates

  • Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement;
